Palo Santo (sacred wood) is known for its natural cleansing and healing properties.
The smell of palo santo is usually described as a bright, sweet, piney, woodsy scent with hints of citrus and mint. For millennia, the wood of Palo Santo has been an irreplaceable part of many spiritual practices. It's used to clear out negative energy, as a natural remedy for cold, flu, helps relieves asthma, headaches, and reduce anxiety and stress.
Sustainably harvested from trees that have fallen naturally. In order to respect traditional practices, the tree cannot be cut alive. It is only after his death that it can be cut and declared as “sacred wood.”
For the flu, cough or asthma, cut the stick in half, infuse in boiling water for fifteen minutes, strain and drink with sugar or honey. To keep mosquitoes away, burn an incense stick. To cleanse and remove bad energy, light a stick and fumigate the space.
Each stick varies in size and shape.
